Hi My great, great, great grandfather Robert Montgomery settled in 1833 from Northern Ireland and settled Omemee/Victoria County Ontario. Had son John , farmed @Janetville Ontario/Victoria. Had son Tom , he married a Caroline Hayes and settled in Simcoe County near Orillia Ontario. They had son Harold Montgomery which is ...my grandfather and he owned grocery store in Orillia Ont . |

Searching for my wife's line. Her father Montgomery Morrow is decended from the Montgomery line thru his mother, Cornelia Montgomery. The line from there goes up to Elias Andrew Montgomery, Jr. to Elias Andrew Montgomery. All her line is probably from North Carolina. Any help would be appreciated. |

My husband's mother was Margaret Montgomery, who lived in the Bronx, NY. Sadly, she passed away when he was only 2 years old - in 1972, I believe, and he lost touch with her family over the years. I - his wife, am an aspiring writer and I'm looking for any information on any Montgomery who may have served in the Black Watch - at any time in history. I was told, that my husband's grandfather may have..but there's no real source to ask. Any information is appreciated. Many thanks, Nicole Doran |

My ggg-Grandfather was John Montgomery [1787-1867] from Mitchelstown, Cork. He married a Maria Sullivan [1783-1863] [or O'Sullivan]. They both died in Burke, New York, USA. The family story is that he was disowned by the Killee Castle clan when he married a RC Sullivan. I'd love to know more. |

My Aunt traced our family line back as far as Alexander "The Great" back in the early 70's but I was too young to be able to get any other info from her. I would like to be able to find out more about our family. |

Traced Montgomery(ie) back to about 875 only to find that my original Montgomery was the foreman who took over the Scotland estate after the true Montgomery (who apparently came from France)died without heirs. |
