    Mrs. Lydia Pearl Byrd Patrick, 87, of Marthaville, died Tuesday, Nov. 7,at her residence.

    Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Warren MeadowsFuneral Home Chapel, at 3 p.m. Officiating were the Rev. Kenneth Leach,and the Rev. Raymon Alford. Music was provided by
    Mrs. Billy Jean Terrell.

    Pallbearers were her nephews, Larry Byrd, Bobby Gene Chance, SullivanByrd, H. W. Feasel, Bill Enis, Ray Pass Jr., Doug Patrick, and Robert L.Patrick.

    Burial followed in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of the WarrenMeadows Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Patrick graduated from Mt. Carmel High School, then attendedNatchitoches Normal, now known as Northwestern State University. Shetaught school at Alliance until her marriage to Rollie Edwin Patrick. Sheresided in Many for 50 years, and was a member of the Daughters of theAmerican Revolution. Mrs. Patrick was also an active member of the FirstBaptist Church, where she taught the Adult Sunday School Class for manyyears. She spent the last few years of her life living close to herdaughter near
    Belmont.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie Edwin Patrick; and twodaughters, Martha Ann Patrick Sigler, and Marguerite Eliza Patrick; onegrandson, Gerald Edwin Patrick Jr.; and one great grandson, MacKenzieShane Brown. She leaves behind one sister, Eula Mae Alford; two sons,Gerald Edwin Patrick and wife Bobbye of Lake Charles, and Hubert LeroyPatrick and wife Marcia of Seattle, Washington; two daughters, DorisLynelle Patrick Wright and husband Charles of DeRidder, and Betty CarolynPatrick Brown and husband Mike of Belmont; eight grandchildren; fifteengreat grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services for Mrs. L. W. Byrd, age 91, who passed away March 24,were conducted at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, at 3 p.m., March 25, withRev. Kelly Fitzgerald officiating, assisted by Rev. Earl Marr. Intermentwas in the church cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

    Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. L. W. Byrd, Mildred V. Byrd, AubreyDavis, Francis Oxley, Truman Oxley, Gerald Patrick, Larry Byrd, JimmyEnis, Bobby Gene Chance.

    Survivors are two sons, Joseph and Luther Byrd of Florien; sevendaughters, Mrs. Effie Oxley, Mrs. Eula Mae Alford, and Mrs. PearlPatrick, all of Many, Mrs. Lula Ross of Negreet, Mrs. Emma Oxley ofShreveport, Mrs. Ruth Enis of Bossier City, and Mrs. Oma Chance ofFlorien; thirty five grandchildren; fifty five great grandchildren; sixgreat-great grandchildren; one brother, Willie Hardin of Florien;sisters, Mrs. Nancy Reed of Texarkana, Mrs. Cassie Sumpter of LakeCharles, Mrs. Alice Lee, Miss Ellen
    Hardin, and Mrs. Minnie Jordan, all of Florien.
