1 Nov 1946 - Last rites for J. P. Clower, Sr., age 74 years, were held 2p.m. Monday from Central Baptist church. Rev. Ray Brown officiated,Massingill funeral home directing.

Surviving are: wife, Mrs. Mertice Clower, Robeline; sons, J. P., Jr.,Robeline, J. E., Wewoka, Okla.; daughters, Mrs. E. J. Martin, Mrs. J. A.Crockett, Mrs. V. N. Salter, Miss Bessie Bee Clower, all of Robeline, andMrs. G. W. Byrd, Vowell's Mill; sister, Mrs. W. H. Peters, Shreveport,and five grandchildren.

22 Dec 1961 - Funeral services for Mrs. J. P. Clower, Sr., age 85 whodied Dec. 17, was conducted at Central Baptist church at 10 a.m. Dec. 19with Rev. Oliver Roberts, Rev. O. H. Prothro and Rev. Elliottofficiating. Interment was in church cemetery under the direction ofWarren Funeral Home.
