Mrs. Oma Chance, 59, of Florien, died in Ruston, Friday, Dec. 27, at5:15, after an extended illness.
Services were held at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Sunday, Dec. 29, at2 p.m., with the Rev. Earl Marr, and the Rev. Phillip Tisdaleofficiating. Burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the directionof Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, W. M. Chance of Florien; 2 sons, Bobby G.Chance of Ruston, and W. M. Chance, Jr. of Shreveport; 6 sisters, Mrs.Effie Oxley, Mrs. Erin? Mae Alford, Mrs. Lula Ross, and Mrs. PearlPatrick, all of Many, Mrs. Emma Oxley of Shreveport, and Mrs. Ruth Ennisof Bossier City, one brother, Joseph Byrd of Florien, and 6 grandchildren.
