    • !Graduated from Princeton College in 1805, recived a am in 1809. Read law with Judge Joseph Hopkinson, and was admitted to the Philadelphia Bar, June 3, 1811. After practicing law for seven years, he prepared for the ministry in the Protestant Episcopal Church, ordained in 7 October 1817. He was successively Rector of St. Michaels, Trenton. NJ; Grace, New York City; and St. Stephens, Philadelphia.
