    • Per Marshal Field, the 1850 Census shows girl born in 1849 with name Filinda. However name was originally entered as Lucinda because that was what family members told them was correct.

      4/18/99 - E-mail from a descendant, Elaine Swan, says the name was Philenda Katherine Montgomery; she has death certificate and a book signed "Philenda Katherine Montgomery" for proof.
