  *Information about Anna Mc Avenna, Johns first wife, comes from the Town Clerk's recordes in Milford,Ma.- on the birth certificates of the childern and the baptismal records at St. Mary,s Church in Milford. We know she was a homemaker and had all of John's 5 children. There is no record of their marriage in Mliford. We think he married her here in the U.S. shortly after arriving 2 Oct 1849 and before Oct 1850. Milford Town Clerk thinks they married in Ireland. She is not listed on the Ships Passenger list with John. On the birth and death certificates of her daughter Margaret, Anna's birthplace is Scotland.
