      BIOGRAPHY: According to an early submission, this Robert Montgomery married Rachel Lawrence (Laurence?), his second wife, on 3 Dec. 1745. However, according to Marlene Koutoufaris, CMS 1849, Rachel Lawrence was not married to this Robert Montgomery, born in 1687 and therefore 42 years older than Rachel. Instead Marlene believes that Rachel was married to a Robert Montgomery born in 1720, the nephew of this Robert Montgomery. Because Rachel is in Marlene's direct line and her research appears to be thorough, her interpretation will be shown in the database with the conflict described in these Notes. Since no children were shown for Rachel Lawrence and this Robert, the marriage record will be deleted on 09 Apr. 2002.
