  !Preferred Name: Oscar Per letter from J.Carl Montgomery dated 14 Feb. 1979, Joe C. Montgomery returned from Texas to Arkansas (date unknown) and offered to help "set up" Carl's father, Oscar, on a farm in Texas. Per Zola Montgomery, after Louisa Tichenor died, her sons, Oscar and Otis, were raised by their grandfather, George E. Montgomery. This was confirmed by the 1979 letter from Carl Montgomery. Oscar went to California around 1942. Info from JCM records that was changed by info from Montgomery Lynn Clason on 5/12/99: Date of birth was 20 Nov. 1881, now 30 Nov. 1881. Burial Place was Long Beach, CA; now Westminster, Orange Co., CA.
