Notes - Went into the Army 10 Mar 1942. Ft Bragg. Shrevesport, LA for seven months. Then back to Ft.Bragg. With 101st Airborne Gliders to camp Mc Call, NC.
Stayed there about 2 years. May 1944 went to New York then on to England to fight in the war. Volunteered to be cook so he wouldn't have to jump with the paratroopers!
After the war he went to work at the Cone Mills Haw River as a machinist.
