Notes - Obituary notice appeared in Colonial Advocate,York on Thursday, Sept 12, 1833: "On Friday, Dec 6 at Montgomery town, Sarah Ann, second daughter of John Montgomery, aged 6 years 2 months."
I understand from certain correspondence with Jackie-Lou Daley Morran who has done quite a bit of family research that at least one of John Montgomery's daughters died of an street accident near their Inn on Yonge St. From the Obituary it is not possible to tell if it was Sarah Ann or younger daughter, Eliza Jane.
