  Gertrude Ann Montgomery and her sister, Mae or Mary had a gift shop in St. Augustine, Fl. from 1904 until about the time she died in 1977. Patti spoke to her in 1960's but she wanted no part of any Americans who claimed relationship to her. Florence E. Montgomery, our mother had suggested Patti call the Sisters. I have information sent me by the St. Augustine Historical Society and have LDS record of Gertrude's death in 1977. There is copy of a news article telling about the "Montgomery Fortune" back in 1896 when Mae thought she was going to inherit millions from an old estate in Manhattan belonging to Alexander Montgomery Jr. then promoted to have been lost Earl of Eglinton. Big scam! The house in which the Montgomery Sisters had the Shop was built back around 1600's.
