• Notes

  Frank Livingston Montgomery married Mary Seymour, a descendant of the original proprietor of Hartford, CT. They had a large family scattered across the east coast. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The information stemming down from Hugh Montgomery and Mary Gilbert's line was given me by Dr. William R. Marsh, who said he had done some research on this branch of our Montgomery Line. However, it ended with the children of Archibald G. Montgomery and Mary Reynolds.I had entered Frank L. Montgomery's spouse as Mary Seymor and that she was a descendant of the original proprietor of Hartford, CT. Dr. Marsh wrote that his line had extensive descendants living in along the Eastern coast line of the United States. Note from Dr. Marsh's book on page 42, shown under Hugh's notes that he accounts for only one son, not two. I learned of the other son from Nancy High whose data shows there were three others. "FNU" meaning "First Name unknown, which makes one think they might have died at birth in Middlebury. I did not have the names of any children under family of Frank Livingston & Elvira (was she perhaps Mary Elvira?)Montgomery. I entered the names shown on the back of the 1900 photograph of John Seymor Montgomery who is shown as their second son. The information I have on Aaron C. is quite limited. Both Dr. William R. Marsh and Nancy High, as well as "Old" George Montgomery knew this family to be related to our line. I'd say the proof now is held in the old photograph of John Seymor Montgomery that it is true. I called Dr. David L. Montgomery in hopes that he can send me the address of Laura G. Brown.
