    • Fred Moore Truett graduated from Baylor University and did graduate work at

      Columbia University in New York City. He served as a 2nd Lt. during World War

      1. He worked 53 years for the Southwestern Drug Company becoming preisent in

      1945, and elected Chairman of the Board in 1970. He was Elected president of

      the National Wholesale Druggist Association in 1953, and received many awards

      recognizing his leadership in the pharmeceutical industry, and was long listed

      in Who's Who in America. His community service include the Hope Cancer Society,

      The Wadley Institute of Molecular Medicine, The Advisory Committee of the

      Dallas Public Health Board, the Community Chest, United Fund, and the Dallas

      Citizens Charter Association. Mr. Truett was a popular speaker and author. His

      book, "The Arithmetic of Sales Management" was published in 1967. In the 1980's

      he wrote a biography of his father-in-law, Willis Twichell, entitled "Texas Was

      His Land". He was married to Mayme Twichell for 66 years and had one daughter,

      Diane Truett who married Dr. A. D. Roberts.
