Including the John, the household has 7 residents,himself, wife, 3 children, his mother in law, Sarah Guise, who is widowedand a Bettie Myers aged 12 who is listed as a cousin. Funeral services for John T. Montgomery, 96 year old retired Montgomeryfarmer, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern FuneralHome of Winnfield. He died Saturday, February 4, 1967, in an Alexandria hospital after along illness. He was a native of Montgomery. Survivors are two sons, W. Montgomery of Houston, Texas and L. H.Montgomery of Humble, Texas; three daughters, Hattie V. Shaw ofAlexandria, Mrs. Mildred Phillips of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Myrtis Wardof Galveston, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and twogreat-great grandchildren.
