  !Per Grace Montgomery, Seat Cox's first wife was named Emma; however, there is a picture labeled Stella which is also supposed to be Seat's first wife. She is believed to have died in childbirth, and it is supposed that the grave in the Howard Cemetery inscribed "Infant of Mr.& Mrs. W.S. Cox" was her child.
