    • !BIRTH-MARRIAGE-DEATH: Gwinnett County Families and Harold Medlock..Robert
      lived abt 2 miles northwest of Norcross on Holcombe Bridge Rd. He had alarge
      farm on Crooked Creek and several more along the Chattahoochee River.All 4 of
      his sons settled along the river. Robert built a house 1/4 mile from
      today's Peachtree Industrial Blvd., constructed of home-made clay bricks.
      The house was a wedding gift to daughter Herne. In later years Robert
      lived at the corner of Spalding and Holcombe Bridge Rd, along the site of
      the annual Medlock Reunion and the annual Pinckneyville Spring Festival.
      Robert was on the original building committee for Norcross Methodist
      Church in 1870. For most of his life he was a member of Mt. CarmelMethodist
      Church and later Winter's Chapel Methodist. A noted marksman, he was inthe
      Confederate home guard mounted cavalry. He was buried in the FirklandFamily
      Cemetery, Holcombe Bridge Road, Pinckneyville, GA Most of thisinformation
      was from materials distributed at the Medlock Reunion in Norcross, GA on20 May
      1973 by James Wade Medlock, Jr.
