      Carl Youngren, Carl Youngren, 94, a former longtime resident of St.Charles passed away on Monday, November 6, 2000 in Everett, Washington.He was born October 23, 1906 in DeKalb, the son of the late John andAmelia Youngren. Carl worked for the American Steel and Wire Company inDeKalb and Joliet before he became co-owner of Monty's Sharp Service inGeneva. As a youth, Carl played baseball for the DeKalb Vikings and wasan active bowler until 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Judith Betzof Lockport and Gloria Hoppler of Edmonds, Washington; his grandchildren,Jan Hoppler of Olympia, Washington, Craig Hoppler of Federal Way,Washington, Wesley Hoppler of Seattle, Washington, Lorri Anderson ofSeneca, Illinois, Lisa Chapman of Serena, Illinois and six greatgrandchildren. Besides his parents, Carl was preceded in death by hiswife, Agnes Montgomery Youngren; three brothers and three sisters.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2000at The Healy Chapel. 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora. The Rev. Gerald Rygh willofficiate. Private graveside services will take place at Lincoln MemorialPark. There will be no visitation.
