Both James & Mahala are buried in West Cemetery, Versailles, IL.
Mahala's parents had moved to Kansas for a few years, then returned toBrown Co., IL and eventually settled on a farm near Versailles, IL. Theyhad five children and raised their oldest daughter's Florence's(b. 1877)children after Florence died in 1907.
Myrtle THOROMAN b. 1884 had no children, but was married four times:
1. Ezra VANCE (1885-1920)
2. Theodore ROSS (killled in a dynamite explosion)
3.(--?--)BRADSHAW (divorced)
4.Henry BUCHANNAN (1872-1961)
