Notes - Richard Montgomery II, born February 26, 1813 on Cherry Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Third marriage August 10, 1864 in Clark County, Indiana. He died November 29, 1884 in Seymour, Jackson County, Indiana. He was the first child in this family to be born in the United States. His thirteen children are by three wives. Very little is known about his first four children. His second child, Margaret Montgomery (Slayden) has a descendant in the State of Washington. He was probably married in the Reddington, Indiana area, then moved to Little York, Indiana where he became a successful businessman.
He helpd with raising several of his brothers after the death of their mother, Annabelle. He returned to Seymour, Indiana in the late 1870's.
