Hi Dan: Yes, I got a letter from your father and he said that myresponse was the only one he got from the magazine. Since he listedseveral families, I am surprised about that.

As I told your father in my letter, I know that there are Markleys aroundthis area that Fred's uncle Clyde could find no connection to. And thenin this other book I have, the history in that is very interesting. Wehave learned that the Markley family came over here from Germany (Ithink) and some settled in PA. I believe (it has been awhile since Iread this) that some of the Markleys were pretty big people--like wellover 6' tall and 200+ pounds! Most of them have lost all that heightover the years. Ha!

There is a Frank Markley buried in the Nevada Cemetery, I think. As Isaid, it has been awhile since I looked this stuff over and I no longerhave the ones Clyde had made up. I am not sure if my sister-in-law had acopy of them or not. Sue is really more "into" this genealogy than I amand probably could help you a lot more. Since I have that one book thatI know she does not have, I will check the names you sent and get backwith you on it as soon as I can.
