- John Caldwell is buried in the Presbyterian Cemetery south of Lake Como on
the west side fo Route l3, Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware. His grave is
marked
with a large monument (61" high, center width of 21 1/4", base width
39"). The monument bears the inscription:
"In memory of JOHN CALDWELL who departed this life
on the 26th of Dec. 1782 aged 62 years
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright for
the end of that man is Peace."
On the reverse side of the monument is information about his wife,
Margaret.
