- John W. Attix was a farmer and State Senator.
He is buried at Lakeside Cemetery, Dover, Delaware (Section 6).

In Grandmother Lillie Wright's "Clippings Scrapbook," found the following:
Mr. and Mrs. John W. Attix, of Dover, are celebrating their fiftieth
wedding anniversary today -- January 14, 1935.
In celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary today, a family
dinner party will be held for Mr. and Mrs. John W. Attix, of Dover, at
the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. C. Thomas Attix,
in Gordon Heights.
Mr. and Mrs. Attix are both enjoying health. Mr. Attix is a retired
farmer. He was State Senator from 1926-28. They are members of the M.
E. Church in Dover. Mrs. Attix is the former Miss Mary E. Ross of Smyrna.
Mr. and Mrs. Attix have been the parents of six children, four
daughters and two sons. They are C. Thomas Attix, of this city; Mrs.
Stuart R. M. Thomson of Cynwyd, Pa; Mrs. Martha O. Davis of Washington,
D.C.; Mrs. D Rodney Bice, of Dover; the late Mary Elizabeth Attix and the
late John Gilbert Attix. They have eight grandchildren.
Guests at the dinner will include Mr. and Mrs. Thomson, Mrs. Davis,
Mr. and Mrs. Bice, Mrs. Helen G. Attix, of Kenton, and Mr. and Mrs. Attix.
