Lived in Sterling, Mich for lst year of life, then lived between Sterlingand Standish until age 7. Moved to a 40 acre farm outside Standish.Lived there until graduation from High School. Lived with a friend'sfamily during Sr. year and moved to Pinconning, Mich. the summer aftergraduation and worked at the Bakery Restaurant while also
baby sitting the owner's daughter. Moved to Ypsilanti, Mich in the fallof 1956 to attend Eastern Mich. Univ. Lived in the dorm for the firstyear and a half, then moved in with brother, Bill and sister in law,Diana. Lived at Moore's Funeral Home rent free for l year, then moved toa small home in Ypsi until graduation from college. Graduated
from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Deaf Education in 1960.Attended Columbia University in summer of 1961. Taught hearing impairedin Trenton, Michigan until marriage. Lived with Marilyn Schumacher (nowBerg) until marriage then moved to Riverside Drive until moving toFindlay, Ohio in 1962. Lived first in Argyle
Apartments on Main Street until buying house at 437 Portz Ave. in fall of1962. Moved to house at 321 Hancock St. in April 1974. Taught one yearin Fostoria, Ohio then quit work to raise family. Worked part time atFindlay YMCA as Aquatic Instructor for 6 years and as a Homebound Tutorto Physically Handicapped children for 3 years.
Worked as a substitute teacher in Hearing Impaired in 1977 then beganteaching hearing impaired again full time in 1978 for Findlay CitySchools. Last few years of teaching, taught Hearing Impaired,Developmentally Handicapped, and Learning Disabled. Retired June 1998.Very active as director, actress, and board member of the Fort FindlayPlayhouse Community Theatre joining in 1963 and as a Board Member of theOhio Community Theatre Association for 9 years serving as Secretary for 6years and 2nd Vice President for one year. Began interest in genealogy in1967. Met husband, Chuck, at singles groups in Wyandotte, Mich.associated with the Methodist Church and the YMCA. Belonged to St.Andrews Church in Findlay before transferring to St.
Marks Methodist. Other interest is in Bowling Green State UniversityHockey. Been fans since 1983. Have known several players who have goneon to play in the NHL.
