      A teacher until her retirement. Received B.S. degree from Illinois StateNormal University in 1947. Taught in Allendale from 1932 until 1941 thentaught in Minonk, Illinois until she met and married Al Gedvil then movedto Rockford, Illinois and taught there until retirement.
      Maxine had quintuple bypass surgery on July 25, 2000 at RockfordMemorial Hospital. She was on a ventilator until her death. She wasmoved to VenCor Hospital in Sycamore, Illinois on Sept. 11, 2000 and diedthere one week later.
