      10/5/1861 Enlisted in Co. C (The Natchitoches Rebels) of the 18thLouisiana Infantry.

      4/6/1862 Wounded in the Battle of Shilo (or Pittsburg Landing). He wascaptured and died while in route to a prisoner of war camp in Louisville,Kentucky with his body being left in Owensboro, Kentucky.
