Funeral services for Oather Otis Canady, 85, of Sulphur, were held at 11a.m., Friday, March 8, 1996, at Maplewood First Baptist Church.
Dr. Clarence Young, and Rev. Mike Canady officiated. Burial was inMiddlecreek Cemetery in Florien, under the direction of Sulphur MemorialFuneral Home.
Mr. Canady died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, at West Calcasieu-CameronHospital.
He was a Sulphur resident for 44 years.
Mr. Canady was retired from Boiler Makers Union Local 79, after 30 years.
He also attended Northwestern State University, and was a member of SW LAGenealogical Society.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Canady of Sulphur; two daughters, Mrs.Bob (Carolyn) Wakeland of Sulphur, and Mrs. Michael (Vicki) Zambie ofMonroe; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Linda Canady of Pineville, LA;two brothers, Tom Canady of Port Arthur, Tex., and Oscar Canady ofFlorien, LA; four
sisters, Maroe Caldwell of Nederland, Tex., Ida Mae Reynolds of Lountz,Tex., and Gladys Hebert of Jasper, Tex.; nine grandchildren; and onegreat grandchild.
