Nora Gandy, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, Oct 22, 1970 Mrs. Nora Gandy, 71, of Many, died Oct. 20, after an extended illness. Surviving relatives include her son, Gkeb Dowden of Port Arthur, Tex.;three brothers, William E. Gandy of Leesville, Melvin Gandy of Many, andElmer Gandy of Orange, Tex.; a sister, Miss Mae Gandy of Many; onegrandson; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in Middle Creek Baptist Church Oct. 22, withthe Rev. Marvin Brown officiating. Burial was in Middle Creek Cemetery,under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
