Mrs. Etna Arthur, 91, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Sabine Medical Centerin Many.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 16, at FlorienBaptist Church, with interment following at Toro Cemetery. The Rev. GlenFlenniken, the Rev. Bill Hines, and Dr. Ed Scott officiated.
Survivors include one son, Earl Arthur and wife Loretta of Natchitoches;two daughters, Murrel Blake of Many, and Ruth Leach and husband V. L. ofFlorien; three sisters, Olivia Carnline, Lizzie Carnline, and DorisFaust, all of Many; two brothers, Younger Stewart of Robeline, and theRev. Mackey Stewart of
Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mrs. Arthur waspreceded in death by her husband, Howard H. Arthur; four sisters, MelvinaMathews, Thelma Knippers, Audrey Malone, and Novis Lambert; and threebrothers, Alex Stewart, Redic Stewart, and Eldred Stewart.
Pallbearers were James Manning, Curtis Gene Manning, Dennis Arthur,Johnny Earl Manning, John Blake III, and Rodney Arthur.
