Services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home Chapel inShreveport, for Mr. J. B. Cobb Jr., 67, of Keithville, Monday, April 13,at 2 p.m. Officiating was Rev. Frank Eppinette, former pastor ofCommunity Bible Church, Keithville, where Mr. Cobb was a charter member.Assisting, was Rev. Bob Moore, present pastor of the church. Intermentfollowed in Centuries Memorial Park, with Masonic graveside rites.
Mr. Cobb entered into rest Friday, April 10, at Willis-Knighton MedicalCenter, after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Sabine Parish, andlived in Keithville since 1946. Mr. Cobb was a veteran of WWII, havingserved in the United States Navy aboard the USS COPAHEE. He was a memberof the Keithville Landmark Lodge #214, and was a past master of thelodge. He was retired Maintenance Supervisor of the City of ShreveportParks and Recreation Department.
He is survived by his loving wife, Geneva; his mother, Mettie Miller Cobbof Many; his children, Don, and Judy Cobb of Shreveport, Joe and KathyCobb of Grand Cane, Keith Cobb of Shreveport, and Kevin Cobb ofKeithville; his two sisters, Bernice Williams, and Jennie Bee Mays, bothof Lake Charles; his
four grandchildren, Tammie Harris, Kenneth Cobb, Kasey Cobb, and SeanCobb; and by two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Darien Fortenberry, Buddy York, Keith Norwood, RobertRachal, David Mason, Bobby Speight, Lee Kelly, and Breland Walker.
