      Mrs. Della C. Rhodes, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, Sep 11, 1969

      Mrs. Della Rhodes, 86, died in Shreveport, Sept. 5, after an extendedillness.

      Mrs. Rhodes is survived by four sons, Ottis Rhodes of Shreveport, RoyRhodes of Houston, Tex., Ray Rhodes of Whittier Calif., and Hollis Rhodesof Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Opal Russell of Shreveport; threestepsons, Levi Reese of Robeline, Cecil Rhodes of Shreveport, and ArthurRhodes of Orange, Tex.; a step daughter, Mrs. J. H. Hortman of GrandRapids, Mich.; 46 grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held at the Ft. Jesup Baptist Church, Sept. 7, withthe Rev. Jerry Schmucker officiating. Burial was in the Ft. JesupCemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

      Pallbearers were the grandsons, Johnnie Rhodes, Elvin Rhodes, HarveyRhodes, Elmer Reece, David Rhodes, and Lewis Rhodes.
