Daniel D. Slay, 76, of Many, died from natural causes in Fraser HospitalNorth, at 7:15 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 2. Mr. Slay was a High Priest ofthe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Audrey Slay of Many; three sons, DavidW. Slay of Lake Charles, J. Michael Slay of Fisher, and Phillip Slay ofMany; two daughters, Joan Beck of Sulphur, and Amelia Smith of La Canada,Calif.; one brother, Alvin Slay of Shreveport; seven sisters, CareyWestbrook, Maud Thedford, Lindy Pynes, Lee Wagley, Allie Simon, andLouise Wagley, all of Many; and sixteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daySaints, on Monday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. Bishop C. Glen Hardy officiated.Burial was in the Many Cemetery, under the direction of the WarrenMeadows Funeral Home.
