Fred Wagley, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, Aug 7, 2002 Funeral services for Fred Leon Wagley will be held Wednesday, August 7,at 10 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. BishopRobert Ault will officiate. Burial, under the direction of the WarrenMeadows Funeral Home, will follow in the Many Cemetery. Pallbearers willbe Jeff Methvin, Brent Methvin, Clay Methvin, Andy Methvin, Nile Wagley,Mike Wagley, Nathan Wagley, and Chris Wagley. Members of the Many LionsClub will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Wagley died at IHS-North in Many on Friday, August 2. He was born in Sabine Parish on Sept. 27, 1909, to Alexander ColemanWagley, and Cora Belle Miller Wagley. He married Lee Slayon May 3, 1932,and together they raised their family in Many. He was self employed in the restaurant business, operating the DairyDelight in Many for a number of years. He was a member of the LDS Church,and an active member of the Many Lions Club. Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Nancy Methvin and husband Jackof Lincolnville, Kansas; a son, James Wagley and wife Gena of Many; ninegrandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews,and friends.
