      19 Jul 1957 - Last rites for William Edward Eason, age 66, were heldFriday at 10 o'clock at the chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ ofLatter Day Saints. Bishop Howard F. Turner of Shreveport officiated, withElder Sidney E. Nielsen of Shreveport assisting. Elder A. M. Wagley,Branch president of the local Branch gave the introduction of speakers.

      Pallbearers were Wallace DeLatin, Hoy Leach, Jr., Merline Miller, T. M.Phillips, J. J. Blake, Jr., J. A. Lucius, J. M. Abington and P. F.DeKeyser.

      Interment was in the Many cemetery under the direction of the WarrenFuneral Home.

      Surviving are widow; Mrs. Ruby Eason; daughters, Mrs. William Hardy ofNew Orleans; three brothers, Frank and Lawrence, both of Many and JohnEason of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Mrs.
      Eddie Byrd, Freeport, Texas; and Mrs. Lester Davis, Monroe.

      Mr. Eason better known as "Bill" passed away at the Veterans hospital atNew Orleans Thursday, July 11 after a long illness. He was a native ofSabine parish and resided here the most part of his life, having been thelocal manager of the Many Theatre for the past 15 years. He was adescendant of one of Sabine parish pioneer families.
