      Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Sparks, 98, of Florien, were heldMonday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m., in the Warren Meadows Chapel, with the Rev.Johnny Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the Myrtle Spring Cemetery,near Geneva, Tex., under the directiob of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

      Mrs. Sparks died in Many after an extended illness.

      She is survived by four sons, S. O. Sparks of Hemphill, A. A. Sparks ofSillsbee, Preston Sparks of Robeline, and Eugene Sparks of Florien; threedaughters, Mrs. Lula Wallace, and Mrs. Lucille
      Simmons, both of Florien, and Mrs. Eldon Edwards of Alco, LA; three halfsisters, Lizzie and Onnie Simmons, both of Many; two half brothers, Masonand Johnny Simmons, both of Many; 38
      grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

      Pallbearers were her grandsons.
