Funeral services for Mary Jane Roberts were held at 2 p.m., on Sunday,Sept. 29, in the Chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis, with the Revs. CharlesBates, Troy Wheeler, and Joe Aulds officiating.
Burial was in the Shady Grove Cemetery at Bellwood.
Mrs. Roberts, 97, of Bellwood, died Friday, Sept. 25, at 10:20 p.m., inthe Natchitoches Parish long term care unit.
Survivors include five sons, Curtis Roberts of Smithville, Tex., ChesterRoberts of Pineville, Sherman Roberts of LeCompte, Hershell Roberts ofBaton Rouge, and Billy Roberts of Natchitoches; three daughters, JewelEvans of Baton Rouge, Claudie Lucius of Shreveport, and Willie McGrath ofHurst, Tex.; one brother, Oscar Sparks of Bellwood; 21 grandchildren; 22great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Mark McGrath, Glenn Roberts, Charles Roberts,Michael Corbin, Jimmie Corbin, and Art Young. Honorary pallbearers wereHarold Alford, W. J. Alford, Clinton Sparks, and Thurman Roberts.
