      Vernon Bison, 39, died Friday, at Port Allen, as a result of a caraccident. He lived in Belmont.

      Funeral services were held in the Belmont Baptist Church Sunday, March27, with the Rev. Walter Ledford, and the Rev. Percy Tibbittsofficiating. Burial was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery, under the directionof Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

      He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vernon Bison of Belmont; three sons,James Edward, Kenneth Ray, and Ronald Wayne Bison, all of Belmont; onedaughter, Thelma Sue Bison of Belmont; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E.Bison of Karnack, Texas; five brothers, Clifton, and Clinton Bison, bothof Shreveport, Woodrow Bison of Phoenix, Ariz., Carl Bison of Karnack,Texas, and Ray Bison of Marshall, Tex.; and five sisters, Mrs. May Shortof Karnack, Tex., Mrs. M. P. Broadway of Marshall, Mrs. Vivian Wright of
      Redding, Calif., Mrs. Rosie Lee White of Karnack, Tex., and Mable Thomasof Marshall.

      Pallbearers were Billie Maxey, Walter Childress, Wilbur Wooley, BillyEaves, F. M. Parker, and J. Pat Farmer.
