      Mrs. Mattie J. Coburn, Sabine Parish, Many, LA, Jun 27, 1968

      Mrs. Mattie J. Coburn, 84, died Wednesday, June 19, after an extendedillness.

      Those surviving include six sons, the Rev. Curtis C., and George O.Coburn, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, C. D. Coburn of Sierra Vista, Ariz.,Truman J. Coburn of Augusta, Ga., Dr. Thurman E. Coburn of Bethany,Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Mae Chandler of Florien, and Mrs. WilmaWhaley of Louisville, Ky.; 14
      grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Emma Oliff ofRobeline.

      In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Mt.Carmel Baptist Church, for an appropriate memorial in her honor. The bodylay in state in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Saturday, from 9:30 to 10:30a.m. service time, with the Revs. J. C. Edwards, Earl Marr, and A. J.Dupree officiating.

      Pallbearers were Bobby Chandler, Grady Coburn, Cid Coburn Jr., DavidYonne, Bill Wyatt, and Roy Skinner.

      Interment was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of WarrenMeadows Funeral Home.
