      Veldon Ray Presson

      Funeral services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral HomeChapel, at 8801 Mansfield Road, for Mr. Veldon Ray Presson, 74, ofShreveport, at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 1986. Officiating wasthe Rev. Howard Tripp. Interment was at Centuries Memorial Park.

      Mr. Presson entered into rest Tuesday, November 11, 1986, at SchumpertMedical Center, after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Camden,Tenn., and a resident of Shreveport, since 1951. He was a member of theFirst Church of the Nazarene of Shreveport.

      He is survived by his wife, Ruth Presson of Shreveport; two daughters,Mrs. Harry Wales of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Barbara Veuleman of Many;two sons, Austin R. Presson of Shreveport, and Bobby Dale Presson ofCoushatta; two sisters, Edith Winn of South Gate, Calif., and AnnieStewart of Robeline; one brother, Ira Presson of Costa Mesa, Calif.; tengrandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

      Pallbearers were Elmer Carr, Clomer Kelly, T. L. Ouzts, J. D. Bradford,Dan Griffith, and Charles Creech.
