      Viola R. Owens, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, Apr 2, 1981

      Funeral services for Viola R. Owens of Many, were held Tuesday, March 31,at 2 p.m., in the Middle Creek Baptist Church. Officiating were the Rev.Owen Lofton, and the Rev. Johnny Rhodes.

      Burial was in the Middle Creek Cemetery, under the direction of theWarren Meadows Funeral Home.

      Mrs. Owens died at Fraser Hospital North, at 3:45 a.m., on Monday, March30, following an extended illness. She was 82.

      Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Velma Self of Fisher, and Mrs. W.S. Gass of Florien; one son, George Curtis Owens of Deville; one sister,Belle Frantom of Shreveport; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren;and two great-great grandchildren.

      Pallbearers were Charles Frantom, James Frantom, Kenneth Coburn, JamesRay Coburn, Malcolm Coburn, and Artis Coburn.
