      19 Aug 1955 - Funeral services for Hugh W. Simpson, 82, who passed awayat Sabine Clinic, Zwolle, Thursday, Aug. 11, was conducted at Ft. JesupBaptist church at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 with Rev. V. L. Prewittofficiating assisted by Rev. Johnnie Rhodes and Rev. W. D. Carr.Interment was in Ft. Jesup cemetery under the direction of Warren FuneralHome.

      Survivors are his wife, Mrs. H. W. Simpson of Many, sons, are Johnnie ofEl Dorado, Ark.; Hamp of Jennings; Horace of Thibodaux; Aubrey ofBarksdale AFB; Ellis of Many; daughters are Miss Clara Simpson, Mrs.Laura Flenniken, Mrs. Wilmer Bush, Mrs. Willard Mitchell, all of Many;Mrs. E. L. Mitchell of DeRidder, Mrs. Loddie Adams of Lake Charles,sisters, Mrs. Minnie Salter of Many; Mrs. Ed Neel of Gandy; 33grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren.

      Pallbearers were Pat, Jack and Weldon Aldredge, Charels Mitchell, JuniorMitchell and Wayne Bush all grandsons of Mr. Simpson.
