      Wilson Flenniken, 78, died at his residence at Fort Jesup Monday, April12, at 4 a.m., after an extended illness.

      Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 13, at 2 p.m., in the TrinityBaptist Church, with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, the Rev. M. B. Adkins, theRev. Ray Hope, and the Rev. Brent Flemming officiating. Interment was inthe Fort Jesup Cemetery.

      Pallbearers were the grandsons.

      Surviving relatives include his wife, Josie Flenniken of Fort Jesup; twosons, Euland Flenniken of Shreveport, Rev. Glen Flenniken of Hornbeck;two daughters, Christene Watson of Baton Rouge, and Imogene Jordan ofAlexandria; one brother, Fred Flenniken of Many, and one sister, Mrs.Wallace Branch of DeRidder; 12 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
