      Ruby M. Smith - 10/25

      Ruby Mae Smith died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003, in Houma.

      She was a native of Bellwood, and she had lived in Lake Charles since1944. She was a member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church. She was awonderful homemaker, wife and mother. Survivors include one son, DouglasRichard Smith of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Marcilene Ann Smith ofHouma; four grandchildren, Shaun Marie Ramirez, Paul Douglas Landry,Timothy Bilello and Christopher Toups; and five great-grandchildren.

      Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in Hixson Funeral Home.The Rev. Don Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Flora Cemetery.Visitation is 10-6 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. Monday.
