Funeral services for Mr. Woodrow Slaughter were held Thursday, September3, 1992, at 10 a.m., in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home,with Elder Luther Despino officiating. Burial followed in the New CedronCemetery in Vowells Mill.
Mr. Slaughter, 74, of Vowells Mill died Wednesday, September 2, 1992, at3:15 a.m., in the V.A. Medical Center in Shreveport.
He was a native of Vowells Mills, a WWII Army veteran, a retired farmer,and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys W. Slaughter of Vowells Mill; foursons, Steve Slaughter of Bossier City, Lovell Slaughter of Vowels Mill,Raymon Slaughter, and Herman Slaughter, both of Provencal; one stepdaughter, Linda Steele of Calvin; one brother, Taft Slaughter of Many; 16grandchildren; and three
great grandchildren
