Tevess Leon Slaughter, Sabine Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, Sep 11, 1991 Funeral services for Mr. Tevess Leon Slaughter, 75, were held at 2 p.m.,Tuesday, August 13, in Plainview Baptist Church. Officiating over theservices were the Reverends Glen Flenniken, Don Nunley, J. D. Brown, andRon Berry. Interment followed in Prewitt Chapel Cemetery, under thedirection of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Slaughter died Sunday, August 11, in Florien. He is survived by his wife, Edith Eviline Withers Slaughter of Plainview;one son, Marcelle Slaughter of Plainview; one sister, Lovie Rogers ofMany; and two brothers, Taft Slaughter of Many, and Woodrow Slaughter ofVowells Mill. Pallbearers included Rosezell Fletcher, Victor Ellzey, Robert EdWilliams, John Hill, Bobby Ray Rogers, and Lewis Slaughter.
