Mrs. Rosie Oxley, Sabine, Vernon Parish, Sabine Index, Many, LA, Apr. 16,1970 Mrs. Rosie Oxley of Hornbeck, 62, died in Many at 9 a.m., following anextended illness, on April 11. She is survived by five sons, John, and Woodrow Slaughter, both ofRobeline, Riley Slaughter of Winnfield, Taft, and T. L. Slaughter, bothof Hornbeck; two daughters, Mrs. Lovie S. Rogers, and Mrs. Golda Mae S.Stroud, both of Many, two brothers, ?, and Joe Masters, both of Many; asister, Mrs. Lizzie Dowden of Leesville, 23 grandchildren, 38great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 12, in PlainviewBaptist Church, with the Rev. A. J. Dupree, and the Rev. Huey Haymonofficiating. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
