      Mrs. Mittie H. Weldon, 90, died Sunday, June 4, 2000 at her residence inMany. She was born Aug. 21, 1909 in Sabine Parish.

      Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday, June 5 at Warren MeadowsFuneral Home with interment following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The Rev.Kenneth Leach and the Rev. Joe Chance officiated.

      Survivors include one daughter, Billie Lou Luster of Many; oneson-in-law, Joe Luster of Many; two sisters, Evelyn Dees of Many andJosephine Leach of Shreveport; five grandchildren, Mike Luster, PattyLahr, Barbara Lahr, Bonny Lahr and Bill Lahr; two great grandchildren;and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Weldon was preceded in death byher husband, Mr. Dewey T. Weldon and daughter, Myrtle Eloise Lahr.

      The family would like to give a special thanks to the Red River Hospiceand two special friends, Gwen Cook and Terri Hickman.

      Pallbearers were Mike Luster, Mike Nichols, William Max Leach, WilburLeach, Carter McAlaxander and Bill Dees. Honorary pallbearers were Jerryand Shirley Hilderbrand.
