      Mrs. Lucille Sparks Simmons, 93, died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1999, at herdaughter's home in Saratoga, Texas.

      Graveside services were held Friday, Aug. 13, with interment following atWarren Cemetery. Sam Baxter officiated.

      Survivors include two sons, Leon L. Simmons Jr. of Saratoga, Texas, andBill Simmons and wife LaVerne of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, BettyLawrence of Kountze, Texas, and Chlotilde
      Jackson of Saratoga, Texas; one sister, Minnie Edwards of Leesville; onesister-in-law, Wilma Sparks of Natchitoches; six grandchildren; fourgreat grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, and friends. Mrs. Simmons is preceded in death by her husband,Mr. Leon L. Simmons Sr.; and infant daughter, Dorothy.

      Pallbearers were Jason, and Christopher Brown, Lonny George, SteveTidwell, Dennis, and Raymond Sparks.
