The funeral was at 3 p.m., Thursday, June 1, at Central Baptist Church ofRobeline, with the Rev. J. D. McNeal, and the Rev. LeRoy Jamesofficiating. Burial was in Central Cemetery, under the direction ofBlanchard-St. Denis funeral Home of Natchitoches. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Bobby Sparks, Donald Sparks, andDavid Sparks, all of Robeline, Charles Sparks of Provencal, and JohnSparks of Natchitoches; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Strickland, and LauraSparks, both of Robeline; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Wallace of Houston,Texas, Mrs. Leon Simmons of Fisher, and Mrs. Eldon Edwards of Alco; twobrothers, Pat Sparks of Pineland, Texas, ands Gene Sparks of Fisher; andtwo grandchildren.
