      Warnie A. Salter, 62, of Alexandria, died at 1:10 p.m., Saturday, atConfederate Memorial Hospital, following a long illness.

      Mr. Salter, an oil field worker, is survived by two daughters, Miss IreneSalter of Shreveport, and Mrs. William G. Irvine of Laredo, Tex.; a son,Chester Salter of Shreveport; three brothers, Julian Salter of Many,Waverly Salter of Alexandria, and Willis Salter of Many; two halfbrothers, Hoyt Woodler of Alco, and Earnest Woodler of Phoenix, Ariz.;seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

      Funeral services, under the direction of First National Funeral Home,were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, in Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel inMany. Officiating at the services was Dr. Jason Kay. Burial was in FenderCemetery near Many.
